Tepic, Mexico
CIUDAD SATELITE TEPIC

The rapid urban growth of the Capital city of the State of Nayarit, Tepic, and the need of new educational, govermental and sports areas and buildings, was taken by governmental authorities as an opportunity to plan an adjacent new city of 900 hectareas.
GSHstudio took a different approach than the previous non-connected suburban sprawl proposals, integrating urbanistically in a connected urban fabric all uses, anchored by the new Multifuncional Stadium, a Plaza for Governmental Buildings and an University. The urban fabric is structured by neighborhoods with plazas within a mixed-use and pedestrian friendly environment with a variety of densities and architectural tipologies that allow diverse socio-economic population.
The Multifuncional Stadium was design by 3Arquitectura and inaugurated in June 2011. First phase of 50 hectares broke ground in 2017.
